"The Lighthouse Keeper's Ascent"

"The Lighthouse Keeper's Ascent" debuted at The Open Exhibition in The Turner House Gallery in October 2023, where the theme centred around trails. Representing this theme, my sculpture embodies the journey of the lighthouse keeper in fulfilling their duties. Crafted solely from driftwood collected from Penarth Beach, near the gallery, it serves as a testament to the coastal environment and the narratives embedded within its natural resources.
